North Bay Self Storage is a self-service storage company that provides a variety of storage unit sizes and types available to the public for personal & business storage use. If the storage size you need is available and you can provide a valid government issued I.D. and payment method, you can rent it. If you have questions regarding which size is right for you, please review our storage unit size guide to find exactly the storage space you need. The unit you rent is secured with your lock and your key - only you can decide who has access to your unit and who doesn't. It's our policy to never give anyone who isn't on your rental agreement access. We feel this only adds to the security of your items. However, you are free to divulge your unit number, key, and gate-code access to anyone of your choosing as long as you're comfortable with them accessing your unit. You may also include the names of people that you wish to have access in the rental paperwork. If you'd like to remove anyone included on this list, you must do so in writing, at any time.
Tenants have access every day of the year, including all major holidays, access is between the hours of 6:30am to 8:00pm Monday through Saturday, and on Sundays from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Should you require extended hours for a special circumstance, please consult with our management team in advance.
Our facility offers unique storage sizes and types. Common unit types include:
  • Drive-Up Storage Units: Drive-up storage is perfect for those looking for quick, easy access to their items. Drive straight up to your unit, park & unload. Our roll-up doors make accessing your unit a breeze and save space unlike their swinging-door counterparts. This is easily the most popular form of storage, mostly for its quick and easy access
  • Upstairs Storage Units: Indoor units that are housed inside a two story building, offering less exposure to harsh elements. Units are accessible via industrial freight elevators and our facility offers push-carts and dollies to help you move larger items. While the freight elevators make loading and unloading very simple, riders are not allowed, therefore, you will need to be able to climb the one flight of stairs to meet your belongings.
  • Tall Storage Units: Unlike out regular units that measure approximately 8 feet tall, these Tall units provide extra height- perfect for storing extra tall items.
Rent your unit for as long (or short) as you need! We offer month-to-month leases and bill in one-month increments. Our goal is to make your storage experience as simple and easy as possible. We just require a 10 day notice to vacate.
You may reserve a storage unit over the phone or online, but the only way to complete the rental agreement is in person at our facility. This is for your protection as well as the protection of others.
Renting a storage unit is similar to renting an apartment. The same way your landlord doesn't insure your personal belongings, North Bay Self Storage doesn't insure your items either. However, we do offer low cost protection from Deans & Homer. Brochures are available in our office. Please note: if you have homeowner's or renter's insurance, your property may be covered, but you should double check with your agent.
Yes, we are an independent U-Haul dealer. There is a $50 move in discount when you a rent a truck from us at the time you rent a new unit.
Sorry our insurance does not allow us to offer storage for RVs, Campers, Cars or Boats.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, checks, cash and money orders. We also accept payments online once you are a tenant. We do accept credit card payments over the phone. Automatic billing is available with a form on file as well.
You can! Once you are a tenant, come back to this website & locate the Payments tab. You will need your space number and a pin number, which are provided on your rental agreement at the time of rental. A receipt will be emailed, and your account will be updated within the hour. Partial payments are not accepted.
Everyone's due date is different. Your due date is the same day of the month you moved in. So if you moved in on the 15th of the month, your next bill will be due on the 15th of the following month.
Rent is due on the same day each month, and is a monthly rental. We do offer a 10 day grace period, to allow some flexibility in paying your rent each month. However, units that go unpaid beyond the 10 day grace period will be assessed a late fee.
Yes. We require a 10 day notice - in writing - before your next billing date. Full details on the vacating policy will be provided for you at the time of move-in.
One of our storage consultants can cut the lock for you. For security reasons we hope you can understand, we do not allow bolt cutters on the property. Please keep in mind, if you do try to cut your own luck, you may damage the slide-bolt and door, both of which you will be liable for. If you have a disc lock, you will need to schedule a time with our office for our maintenance team to remove the lock.
As a general rule, we do not offer pro-rated billing. However, rare exceptions can be made if you need your unit for an extra day or two and you have made arrangements in advance with your store manager. If you have any questions regarding your unit and rental agreement, please don't hesitate to speak to the manager. We strive to achieve the best customer experience possible. When you rent at North Bay Self Storage, you can feel secure knowing that the facility is not only a temporary home to your belonging, but to our resident management team as well! Since 2001, Chris & Sara (along with their two children) have managed the facility & lived on site. Not only do they take great pride in the level of customer service they strive to give, but in the cleanliness and security as well. Our assistant manager Blanca joined the team in 2015. Our maintenance specialist Jeremy has been with us since 2011.
